RESUME OF MARTIN BLAKE    

Martin Blake is a partner in the San Francisco law firm of Baum & Blake and specializes in serious personal injury and wrongful death litigation on behalf of the plaintiff.

He received his law degree at The Queens University, Belfast, in 1971 and the degree of barrister at law in 1972 at Gray's Inn, London . Mr. Blake practiced as a barrister in Northern Ireland for eight years before being admitted to practice in 1981 in California.

Mr. Blake has chaired both the Motor Vehicle and the International Practice Sections of The Association of Trial Lawyers of America and is a former chair of the International Relations Committee. He is a former elected member of the California State Bar Litigation Section Executive Committee, a former past President of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers' Association and an elected member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), The International Academy of Trial Lawyers and The American College of Trial Lawyers. He is named in the 2006 edition of Best Lawyers in America . 

He taught advanced trial advocacy at U.C. Hastings Law School from 1990-2008. He is a frequent speaker for lawyer's organizations in the U.S. and abroad and his publications include a chapter on Crib Death Litigation in AM JUR Trials, Volume 37, and editing the Wrongful Death chapter of Bancroft Whitney's Civil Practice series.
